Christine Izuakor is a Senior Security Analyst for United Airlines. In this role, she is responsible for managing numerous security functions from network vulnerability management to legal aspects of data security. She is also a co-founder and the Vice President of Gen Trend, United Airlines’ Millennial business resource group. In this role she, in collaboration with the leadership team, is dedicated to shaping United’s future to better attract and retain the next generation of employees and customers.
An advocate of diversity and inclusion, Christine serves as the Head Editor of the Illinois Diversity Council Editorial Board, and is a member of the National Diversity Council Newsletter Committee. She is also passionate about addressing the opportunity divide and volunteers as a mentor with Year Up.
Izuakor earned a master degree in information systems security from University of Houston in 2012 and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in security engineering at the University of Colorado. Her research has been presented and published in several international conferences and journals.
A first generation Nigerian in America, native Houstonian, and Chicago resident, Christine appreciates travelling and learning about different cultures. She has visited over 20 countries in the last 4 years and plans to further unleash her adventurous spirit upon completion of her doctoral program.
